Mrs. Mary Finley Cook


   Mrs. Mary Finley Cook, wife of the late Alfred Cook, a Free Methodist minister, died Sunday at the home of her niece, Mrs. C. K. Stewart of 361 Douglass Ave, at 11 o’clock. 

   She was born in Delaware, O., April 24, 1836.  When a young woman she taught school in Elgin for a number of years, and was known as a writer of poetry.  She is survived by one brother,
   George H. Finley, twelve nieces, and ten nephews.

   Funeral services will be held from the Norris chapel tomorrow morning at 9:30 o’clock and will be private.  Burial will be at the Garfield Cemetery at Campton, Ill.
