ANNA SPONHOLTZ Taken from the November 7, 1964 Daily Courier News Mrs. John (Anna) SPONHOLTZ 84 of 340 N. Worth Ave died Friday evening. She died in the home of her son and daughter-in-law Mr. & Mrs. Roland SPNHOLTZ, with whom she and her husband had been living. Mrs. SPONHOLTZ was born the daughter of John and Caroline SCHULTZ OLHABER in Germany Jan 10, 1880. She was brought to the U.S. when she was 9 months old coming directly to Elgin where she has since made her home. She was a member of St. John Lutheran church. Surviving besides the widower, to whom she was married to in 1903, are one son, Roland of Elgin; one brother, Leon OLHABER of Huntley, and one sister, Mrs. Walter (Mabel) STEINIGER of Elgin. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Harold, two brothers John and Walter OLHABER and one sister Mrs. Alma YUHRS.
