VERNON SAMUELSON TAKEN BY DEATH IN SOUTH Funeral Services Will Be Held From Mother's Home Tomorrow Morning Word was received late Tuesday night from Louisville Ky., of the death of Vernon SAMUELSON, son of Mrs. Lydia SAMUELSON of Hampshire. The telegram to relatives here gave no details of Vernon's death and none have been received as we go to press. The body was sent here and funeral services will be held from the home of his mother Friday morning at 10 o'clock. Military honors will be given by the Edward Haderer Post, American Legion. Vernon SAMUELSON was born in Hampshire on November 12, 1899. He attended the local public schools until he was 16 years of age when he enlisted in the United States army. During the World War he was a member of the 46th Infantry. For the past several years he has been residing in the south, where he was taken by death Tuesday night. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Willene SAMUELSON and one son Vernon Jr. of Chattanooga TN. He also leaves his mother, Mrs. Lydia SAMUELSON, and three sisters and one brother, Esther of Hampshire, Mrs. L.G. MARKS of Elgin, Pearl of Chicago and Clarence of Elgin.
