William Walter REES William Walter REES, 74, of Aurora, passed away on Monday, November 24, 1997 at his home. He was born on October 12, 1923 in Aurora. Mr. REES graduated from East Aurora High School in 1941. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and served in WWll. He was wounded on Okinawa and received the Purple Heart Medal. He was a member of Fourth Street United Methodist Church and Barber-Greene Hunting and Fishing Club. Mr. REES was retired from Deluxe Cleaners. He was a long time fast pitch coach and an avid sports fan. He loved sports, his church, his family and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Arlene (BERG) REES, whom he married on December 29, 1946; three sons, Ron (Cindi) REES of Montgomery, Jim (Vicki) REES of Oswego and Bill (Lori) REES, Jr. of Mt. Home, Arkansas; his sister, Beverly CALIENDO and seven grandchildren, Cari and Crista REES of Montgomery, Lindsay and Ben REES of Oswego and Jennifer, Billy III and Jacob REES of Mt. Home, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmons and Ethel (REES) REES. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 28, 1997 at Fourth Street Untied Methodist Church, where he will lie in state from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour. The Rev. Gary Hougen will officiate with interment at Spring Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Dieterle Memorial Home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Mr. REES memory to Fourth Street United Methodist Church. Arrangements were handled by the Dieterle Memorial Home. 1120 S.
