JOHN OLHABER Taken from the October 18, 1930 Daily Courier News John OLHABER 75 years died at 3:30a.m.at his home at 616 Wilder St. Mr. OLHABER was born in Zussow Germany, on June 23, 1855. He came to America 50 years ago, and had lived that length of time in Elgin. For 30 years he had been an employee of C.E. Giertz and Son contractors. He was a member of St.John's Lutheran Church. Surviving him are the widow, Mrs. Carolina OLHABER; two daughters Mrs. Anna SPONHOLTZ and Mrs. Mabel STEINIGER; three son, John B.Jr., Walter F. and Leon W. OLHABER; a grandson, Roland SPONHOLTZ; a brother, Charles SPONHOLTZ of Bensonville, IL.
