S. F. MATHEWSON S. F. MATHEWSON IS CALLED TO REST Visited by Death at His Home at Stockton, California, Monday, Tuesday morning T. MATHEWSON and Miss Hannah MATHEWSON received the sad news of the death of their brother, Samuel N.MATHEWSON, which occurred at Stockton, California, Monday evening. Mr.MATHEWSON had been in ill health for more than a year past, and made his home with Mrs. WILLIAMS, a daughter. The deceased was born at Staten Island, N. Y., November, 1834. In 1841 he came to Blackberry township with his parents, and it was here he was wedded to Miss Carrie HATCH who passed from this life in California ten years ago. Fifty eight years ago Mr. MATHEWSON went to the Golden Gate to make his home, and has visited the place of his birth but once since then. By this death there are left to mourn: four daughters and two sons, all residing in California; also three brothers and one sister, William at San Francisco, Calif.; George at Fairhaven, Mass.; Adelbert T. and Miss Hannah MATHEWSON, Elburn.
