HENRY H. KIRCHOFF Henry Herman KIRCHOFF, a lumber and coal merchant in Hampshire for 49 years, died Sunday morning at his home after several months of failing health. He was born in Leyden township (now Franklin Park) on Jan. 27, 1862, and was in business in Hampshire with his brother August. Both retired in April 1943. He is survived by a daughter Florence WHITELEY of Denver, Colo.; a sister, Mrs. Mary HEINE of Hampshire; five brothers, August of Hampshire, Alfred of Franklin Park, Frank and Robert of Chicago and Carl of Oak Park; and two grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Margaret SHEDDEN KIRCHOFF, five brothers and one sister. Mr. KIRCHOFF was a member of the Hampshire Methodist church, the Hampshire lodge, AF and AM, the Scottish Rite consistory of Freeport and Bethel Commandery of Elgin. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Wilbur Hopins, pastor of the Hampshire Methodist Church, assisted by the Masons, at the church Wednesday afternoon at 2.
