GOTTLOB HUBER Taken from the January 10, 1942 Daily Courier News Gottlob HUBER, 84 years old, a resident of Elginn for more than 60 years, died at his home, 140 N Porter Ave., early today. Born in Germany, on May 17, 1857. Mr. HUBER came to this country and directly to Elgin in 1880, and had made his home here ever since.He was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Rosine HUBER; three daughters, Misses Nina, Mary and Lizzie HUBER; three sons, William HUBER, who is corrdinator for the Kane County Civilian Defense Council, Joseph G. HUBER, who is a city marshal of Elgin, and Harry HUBER; a brother Fred HUBER of Elgin.
