Obituary for John Wesley FLETCHER from the Elgin Advocate, Saturday, 18 June 1904, pg 1, col 5:

J. W. FLETCHER
John W. FLETCHER, a well known contractor of Elgin, died Monday at 7:15 at
the home of his son, Olin H. FLETCHER, No. 514 Spring Street, aged 65 years.
Mr. FLETCHER was born in Pennsylvania July 17, 1839, and has been a resident
of Illinois 54 years. He leaves three sons, A. E. , and Olin H. of Elgin, and
F. W. of Aurora. He was a well know figure about town and was esteemed highly
by all who knew him. The funeral was held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock
from the house. Silver Leaf Camp, M. W. A, of which he was a member, had
charge of the services at the grave.
