FLETCHER Dies on Tuesday Evening and Mrs. Richard Chipp at Wayne Today. Mrs. Rachel E. FLETCHER, wife of John W. FLETCHER, of 533 Villa Street, died on Tuesday evening, after a protracted illness caused by grip and a complication of diseases. Mrs. FLETCHER was born at Hadley, Saratoga county, New York, in 1841. She was a daughter of A.C. LOVELESS of Wheaton, and had been a resident of Elgin and vicinity for forty years. Three sons, A.E. and O.H. of Elgin and F.G. FLETCHER of Aurora, survive her. She leaves two brothers, Brayman and Charles LOVELESS of Wheaton. Mrs. H. CARR of Elgin and Mrs. Sarah HAMMER of Charles City, Iowa, are sisters. The funeral will be Thursday at 1 o'clock, at the house, burial in Bluff City cemetery. Wednesday, 3 April, 1901 p. 3 col. 5: Mrs. John FLETCHER A Weary Illness Ends in Peaceful Sleep After a long and weary illness, Mrs. Rachel E, FLETCHER, wife of John W. FLETCHER, passed away at her home, 533 Villa street. Her illness was caused by a complication of diseases, aggravated by the grip. She had been confined to her bed for ninety-two days. Death took place at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday April 2. Mrs. FLETCHER was born at Hadley, Saratoga county, New York, in 1841, being a daughter of A.C. LOVELESS of Wheaton, Ill. She had been a resident of Elgin and vicinity for forty years, and by her Christian character, her womanliness, and many admirable traits endeared herself to all that knew her. Her family will miss from the home a devoted wife and mother. Besides her husband there are three sons: A.E and O.H. of this city, and F.G. FLETCHER of Aurora; two brothers, Brayman and Charles LOVELESS of Wheaton, and sisters, Mrs. H. CARR of Elgin and Mrs. Sarah HAMMER of Charles City, Iowa. The funeral will be held at the residence at 1 p.m. Thursday; interment in the Bluff City cemetery.
