GEORGE BROPHY Taken from the The Aurora Beacon News, January 6, 1936, page 3 George Brophy, 69, Dies at Geneva George BROPHY, 69, died Sunday morning at 2:10 o'clock at the home of his sister, Mrs. Elizabeth SCOTT of Geneva. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bessie PITSTICK of Aurora, and Miss Hazel BROPHY of Chicago; one son, Roy of Chicago; one grandson; two brothers, Dick and Wesley of Aurora; three sisters, Mrs. SCOTT and Mrs. Anna FLYNN of Geneva, and Mrs. Margaret WALKER of Milwaukee. He was born in London, Ontario, Dec. 28, 1866, and had been employed by the Chicago & Northwestern railroad as a flagman for 40 years.
