Alvin W. BUTLER Alvin W. BUTLER, 72, of Aurora, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 1999 at Provena Mercy Center Hospital. He was born January 19, 1927 in Aurora. Alvin was a veteran of WWII. He worked for Stephens-Adamson for 37 years and then worked for Sheldon's Manufacturing in Elgin for 7 years until his retirement. He was a member of the Blue Army. Alvin was dedicated to making and distributing rosaries locally and internationally. He also was a skilled woodworking craftsman. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Dorothy (HOFFMAN) BUTLER; seven children, Paulette THAYER (Michael HARDY), Mary Lou (Craig) REHKOPF, Virgina (Robert) JOHNSON, David (Lynn) BUTLER, Jane (Paul) ALOISIO, Michael (Donna) BUTLER and Peggy (Scott) OLSON; 22 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four brothers and sisters, Frances HOLMES, Delores (Richard) FETZER, Frank (Patricia) BUTLER, Dorothy Joy (Gerald) WOOD; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frances and Alvin F. BUTLER; a granddaughter, Andrea Hope ALOISIA; a son in law, Thomas W. THAYER and a brother in law Robert HOLMES. Funeral from THE DALEIDEN LAKE STREET MORTUARY will be Friday, April 23, 1999 at 9:30 a.m. to St. Mary Church at 10 a.m. where a traditional Latin mass will be offered by Fr. Brian A.T. Bovee. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be in Thursday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. wit Rosary to be recited at 5 p.m. at THE DALEIDEN LAKE STREET MORTUARY. 220 N.
