ROSETTA BAUMGARTNER Taken from the March 21, 1944 Elgin Daily Courier News Mrs. Rosetta BAUMGARTNER, 79, widow of John BAUMGARTNER, died last night at hte home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary MADSEN, 56 Villa st., following a long illness. She was born in Switzerland on Dec 28, 1864 and had resided in Elgin since 1907. Mrs. BAUMGARTNER was a member of the Apostolic Christian church. Survivors are nine daughters, Mrs. Bertha JAGGI, residing in Switzerland; Mrs. Rose SERDAR, Mrs. Martha PAULOS, Mrs. Mary MADSEN, Mrs. Lena FEGE and Mrs. Hattie DUEWEL all of Elgin, Mrs. Anna REUTER of Chicago, Mrs. Emma SCHUETZ of Deerfield, Ill., and Mrs. Frieda LEONARD, residing in California; five sons, Ernest, Gottfried and Werner BAUMGARTNER all of Elgin, John BAUMGARTNER residing in California, and Fred BAUMGARTNER of Lake Forest; a sister, Mrs. Anna LEDERMAN of Broadhead, Wis. Besides her husband, who died in 1939, Mrs. BAUMGARTNER was preceded in death by a son, Albert, and a daughter Louise STAMBAZZE.
