FRED BAUMGARTNER

Fred BAUMGARTNER 65 of Mayflower Rd, Lake Forest, a former Elgin resident died sunday noon in a local hospital. Born in Switzerland, Dec 28, 1891 he came to this country with his parents Mr. and Mrs. John A. BAUMGARTNER in 1907, going directly to Rock City, Ill. They resided there for a short time before coming to Elgin, During the past 32 years he had made his home in Lake Forest where he was employed as caretaker on the Donald Ryerson estate. Survivors include four brothers Earnest of Arkansas, John of Calif., and gotfried and Werner of Elgin and nine sisters, Mrs. Bertha JAGGI of Switzerland, Mrs. Anna REUTER of Chicago, Mrs. Emma SCHUETZ of Deefield, Mrs. Frieda LEONARD of Arizona, and Mrs. Rose SERDAR, Mrs. Martha PAULOS, Mrs. Mary MADSEN, Mrs. Lena VEGE and Mrs. Hattie DUEWELL all of Elgin.Burial will be in Bluff City Cemetery.
