MARGARET BULGER Taken from The Elgin Currier-News Friday January 14, 1927 p. 1 Two aged maiden sisters of Elgin, parted last November by a tragic stroke of fate that culminated seventy years of constant companionship, were joined again last night by the same agency that caused their parting, death. Miss Margaret BULGER, 70, of 425 Park street, succumbed at her home at 9 o'clock in the evening, the result of her sister, Rose BULGER, and from complications that followed a fall in which she suffered a fractured leg. On November 18 Miss Margaret BULGER fell on the icy steps of her home and suffered a fracture of the right leg. news of the accident so unnerved her sister Rose, aged 71 years that she suffered a paralytic stroke and died the same day. Later the surviving sister was taken to the undertaking parlors on a stretcher to view her sister's body just before the funeral services. The past few weeks Miss BULGER had been unable to rally from the effects of injuries sustained in the fall, and of sorrow over the untimely death of her life-long companion and sister. She was removed from the hospital to her home some weeks ago, bur her condition failed to improve and eath intervened last night to terminate her mental and physical anguish. Miss Margaret BULGER was born near St. Charles February 22, 1856, and would have celebrated her 71st birthday next month. She is survived by a niece, Mrs. Emma CROWLEY of Oak Park, Ill., and a nephew, Frank WELLS of Clinton, Ia. Funeral services will be held from the late home at 9 o'clock Monday morning, and at 9:30 o'clock from the St. Mary's church. Burial will follow near the grave of her late sister in Mount Hope cemetery.
