ALVIN H WHITEY Taken from the June 24, 1980 Elgin Daily Courier Alvin H. Whitey ANDRESEN, 84, of 131 Mallery Elgin, Died Sunday in his home. Born Sept 10, 1895 in Lemont, he was the son of Inqer and Minnie BENGSTEN ANDRESEN and had lived in Elgin nearly all his life. He was president of Andresen Brothers partners Builders and Developers. The firm developed Wing Park Manor and Eagle Heights subdivisions, building many homes in those additions. The firm also developed the Wing Park Shopping Center on North McLean Boulv. He was veteran of Worl War I and was a member of many fraternal and business oranizations, and was a past president of the Lord and Ladies Square Dance Club. Surviving are his wife, Mildred HOPP ANDRESEN; two sisters, Mrs. B.F. (Eunice) THIELOF of Naples, FL and Mrs. E.J. (Helen) HANDY of Elgin, and three brothers Roy of Elgin, Leo of Florida and Robert of Virginia, Minn. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel PARKER.
