Date of death: October 12, 1918 The Elgin Daily News, Monday, October 14, 1918 Mrs. VANNOSTRAND Mrs. Olive R. VANNOSTRAND, widow of the late George Y. VANNOSTRAND, died at the home of her son, Edson VANNOSTRAND, Saturday evening at 7:15 o'clock, following two weeks illness of pneumonia. She was 73 years old. Mrs. VANNOSTRAND was born September 20, 1845, in the state of New York. She came to Elgin in early girlhood and had since made her home here. She was married to George Y. VANNOSTRAND in 1869. She is survived by one son and three grandchildren, George E. who is with Company C. 108th Engineers, in France, and Ruth and Violet. Her one desire in life was to live to see the close of the war. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at the family home at 210 Cherry Street at 2 o'clock. Burial at Bluff City cemetery.
